Create a short identity block
Describe the courier’s coat, bag and lantern once in simple terms. Reuse that block rather than inventing new synonyms in every scene. Stable wording makes accidental changes easier to spot, even though prompts alone cannot guarantee visual identity.
Track what changes after each event
After crossing the wet path, the coat hem may be damp and the lantern may be held higher. Add these as scene-state notes. A prop should not return to a pristine state or switch hands without a visible reason when continuity matters to the action.
Review adjacent scenes as pairs
Compare the end of one scene with the start of the next. Check direction of travel, weather and the lantern’s condition. Fix the most disruptive mismatch first. Small decorative differences matter less than a character suddenly walking away from the stated destination.
