Capabilities
What official sources support
- Text, image, video, and audio references
- Up to 30 seconds in one generation, with extension described by ByteDance
- Timestamp-guided audio-video editing
- Reference-guided character, scene, camera, and style control
Capabilities documented by the developer are not automatically identical to limits, pricing, output settings, or controls exposed by a third-party platform. MagicLight access was checked separately.
Workflow
How to test Seedance 2.5 inside MagicLight
- Choose one story beat that benefits from a longer setup and payoff.
- Prepare only references you have permission to use and label what each reference controls.
- Write timed action, camera, dialogue, ambience, and transition instructions.
- Review identity, physics, sound, continuity, and the handoff to the next MagicLight scene.
Use the same difficult representative shot when comparing models. Record credits, review time, usable seconds, continuity, and the reason a render passed or failed.
Fit
Strengths and practical use cases
- Longer single-pass narrative structure
- Native audio-video generation
- Large multimodal reference set
- Editing and extension for iterative production
Good candidates include storyboarded narrative scenes, image-to-video shots, product or character continuity tests, and motion studies where the documented strengths align with the brief.
Prompt guidance
Original prompt patterns to adapt
Replace generic details with approved story facts and references. State what must remain fixed, keep the first test bounded, and avoid using real likenesses or protected assets without permission.
Limitations
What to verify before production
- ByteDance acknowledges remaining challenges in complex physics and multi-subject interaction.
- MagicLight's own page says its current Seedance 2.5 workflow does not support 4K export.
- Access, credits, reference limits, and implementation inside MagicLight can differ from the developer's first-party product.
Commercial use depends on the rights to inputs, the model developer's terms, MagicLight's current plan language, and the intended distribution context. Synthetic-media disclosure and consent rules may also apply.
